How does it work?
If we have the capacity to plan your trip, here are the next steps.
Trip-Planning Fees: Our custom vacation trip-planning fees typically start at $279 per household for one-destination, fully-customized vacations, but fees will depend on the complexity, length, and location of your vacation. Once we've spoken more (the initial consultation is of course free!), we'll discuss what those would be for your particular trip. These fees cover all of our research, planning, and organizing, as well as our support and assistance both before and during the trip.
If we have the capacity to plan your trip, here are the next steps.
- We'll start by having you fill out a travel interest form, so we can gather the necessary info.
- After looking over your travel interest form, we'll set up a time for a quick chat so we can dig deeper into what will be the perfect vacation for you. This chat (either over video chat or on the phone) will typically take about 30 minutes. If it's better for you, though, we can also just email back and forth--whatever you prefer.
- After that, we'll send you an invoice for our trip planning fee (more on that below), and then begin planning the first draft of your itinerary! This typically takes about one or two weeks. We first focus on getting the important framework pieces in place: hotels, flights, and other transportation. Once you see the itinerary, we can then make changes and modifications until it's perfect. At that point, a deposit would be due to hold things (this is typically the flight cost plus a portion of the remaining costs).
- We can then add any additional things you'd like (tours and excursions, restaurant recommendations, etc.). We'll also build a beautiful, functional online itinerary where you can easily access all information about your trip in one place (it's a live link, so if we add things or make further changes, they'll be reflected there). Your final payment would be due typically about two months out from your departure.
